Egg Drop Design Brief - Students build a container to protect an egg from a 20 ft drop
Paper Shelf - Students build a shelf from card stock and see whose holds the most weight. Fun and quick.
Straw Bridge - Students build a bridge from drinking straws. Also use this Legal Graph Paper and this video to intro bridge types

Planning Tools for Technology Careers - A wiki created by Jo Anne Grimshaw as her first step toward planning for the fall 2010 semester. As of May 21, 2010, her wiki is open to anyone. However, in the near future, viewers will need a gmail account and permission from Jo Anne to view her wiki. - Very complete Tech Ed website with tons of teaching resources (including student projects and tests) for many of our classes.
